What a night!

Ur Mom spent last night playing music at what we've come to feel is our "home base", Paddy Brannan's Irish Pub in Ashland. It's home to us for a few reasons: it was the first place we "played out"; we return there at least once a month; the crowds are always super-welcoming and supportive. It just feels like home. But last night was different, dare I say "special"...

From the moment we fired up the mics and instruments, we could tell this crowd just wanted to hear beautiful music. So we gave them what they wanted, and they loved it, and us, and wanted more. And more...and more...usually in a bar like that, it's noisy, you can hardly hear yourself and the rest of the band, but not last night. Last night, folks didn't talk loudly, didn't make us have to yell to be heard. We sang, wove our harmonies, engaged with the crowd, and had one hell of a good time. It was magical.

I hope we have many more nights like that.
